Dr Silvia Gold, president of Mundo Sano Foundation and founder of Grupo Insud, was appointed member of the “circle of founding members” of the World Health Organization Foundation (WHOF).

The goal of the global circle of interdisciplinary representatives is to reflect the different perspectives of the public, private and civil sectors of society. Along with Dr Gold, other renowned medical doctors, researchers, and philanthropists are part of the group: Clare Akamanzi; Bob Carter; Senait Fisseha, MD, JD; Arun Jain; Nahed Mohammed Taher, PhD, and Rebecca Enonchong.

Likewise, our president is member of the Board of Uniting to Combat NTDs, a coalition created in 2012, following the London Declaration, with the aim of joining efforts and support the achieved goals in line with the goals set by the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding the 10 neglected tropical diseases (NTDs); she was also invited to be a member of the Advisory Board of the Centro Petrie-Flom for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology, and Bioethics at Harvard Law School.

The foundation appointed Anil Soni as the inaugural Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2021. It will have the work to invest in innovative initiatives based on works, researches and developments supported by the WHO, with the aim of achieving the mission to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all.
