For the purpose of sharing every progress made in the projects under way by the foundation and its partners in the area of neglected diseases, \u00a0Mundo Sano<\/a>\u00a0 organized its 3rd Meeting on Research Projects on September 12 and 13.<\/p>\n

During the event, members of the Mundo Sano<\/a> technical team, as well as cooperating associates from institutions at local and international levels, presented advances and results on the diagnosis and treatment of\u00a0Chagas<\/a>\u00a0disease and other infections transmitted from mother to baby, on monitoring and control of vinchuca or ‘kissing bug’ and Dengue-transmitting mosquitoes and other arbovirus, epidemiology of geohelminthiasis and hydatidosis control.\u00a0 In addition, projects were presented focusing on Health Education and the use of Communication and Information Technologies (ICTs).<\/p>\n

Renowned members of the Foundation’s Scientific and Advising Committee met with other institutional and strategic partners including the Barcelona Global Health Institute (ISGlobal), Andes University (Bogot\u00e1, Colombia), National “Carlos G.Malbran” Administration of Health Institutes and Laboratories (ANLIS), Epidemiologic Research Institute (IIE), Regional Association for Sanitation Development (ADESAR), the Almirante Brown Health Secretariat, Salta National University, \u201cDr. Francisco Javier Mu\u00f1iz\u201d Infectious Disease Hospital, Bunge y Born foundation, GrandData and the National Commission for Space Activities (CONAE –all Spanish acronyms).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
