Mundo Sano Foundation received the prize \u201cObrar\u201d, category \u201cPlata\u201d, for the audiovisual piece \u201cHerencia\u201d, and two \u201cEikon Oro\u201d prizes for the campaign \u201cNot a single baby with Chagas disease\u201d.<\/p>\n

Recognitions were based on the work of Mundo Sano to make Chagas disease visible and promote its diagnosis and treatment.<\/p>\n

Every hour, a baby is born with Chagas disease in the world. An infected mother can transmit the disease to her baby during pregnancy. To address this injustice, Mundo Sano decided to take the strong commitment of making all women in childbearing age and all the babies born to infected mothers have access to diagnosis and treatment.<\/p>\n

The # NotASingleBabyWithChagasDisease campaign, which focuses on the control of mother-to-child transmission, is aligned with strategies of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO). It aims at the health goals that can be met by 2030, as planned in the Sustainable Development Objectives (SDOs).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
