Ambas partes acordaron que Mundo Sano contribuir\u00e1 en la investigaci\u00f3n cl\u00ednica y la investigaci\u00f3n aplicada a la implementaci\u00f3n del producto tanto en enfermedades desatendidas y en helmintiasis transmitida por el suelo.<\/p>\n<p>El acuerdo fue firmado en Madrid (Espa\u00f1a) por la Dr. Silvia Gold, Presidente de la Fundaci\u00f3n Mundo Sano, el Dr. Michael Makanga, Director Ejecutivo de EDCTP y el Sr. Abdoulie Barry, Director de Finanzas y Administraci\u00f3n de la misma instituci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cLas alianzas son la \u00fanica forma de abordar los problemas complejos. Entender las alianzas en toda su profundidad implica una cooperaci\u00f3n p\u00fablico-privada y una cooperaci\u00f3n multidisciplinar donde es necesario que todos los miembros tengan un esp\u00edritu de cooperaci\u00f3n y compromiso. Estamos convencidos de que la cooperaci\u00f3n con EDCTP ofrece esta oportunidad\u201d. <\/em><strong>Dra. Silvia Gold<\/strong>, Presidente de Mundo Sano.<\/p>\n<p>La colaboraci\u00f3n est\u00e1 prevista dentro del contexto de las convocatorias de propuestas, anunciadas en 2017: \u201cMejora de herramientas de control y eliminaci\u00f3n de las EIDs a trav\u00e9s de los ensayos cl\u00ednicos\u201d y \u201cMejora de herramientas de control y eliminaci\u00f3n de las EIDs a trav\u00e9s de la investigaci\u00f3n aplicada a la implementaci\u00f3n de producto\u201d. EDCTP aportar\u00e1 hasta 30 millones de euros para estas dos propuestas. La Fundaci\u00f3n Mundo Sano se propone contribuir con hasta 2 millones de euros, bajo determinadas condiciones, para apoyar las solicitudes admitidas desde estas convocatorias centradas en la helmintiasis transmitida por el suelo, incluyendo la Ivermectina.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Las alianzas son la base nuestro trabajo y estamos comprometidos con la cooperaci\u00f3n con socios afines para maximizar el impacto de la inversi\u00f3n en investigaciones de enfermedades relacionadas con la pobreza.
